About

Great Commission Missions, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization which grew out of concern for children in very poor third-world countries who are at risk of hunger and disease brought about by lack of proper diet, health, living conditions or being orphaned due to HIV/AIDS. We try to help alleviate this by providing at least one nourishing meal each day for children who have lost either one or both parents and who would have difficulty otherwise trying to provide for themselves.

Mission Statement

Great Commission Missions is dedicated to helping children who are at risk of starvation due to malnutrition, HIV/AIDS and desperate poverty by providing food, basic assistance, Biblical teaching and encouragement to become responsible Christian adults.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”  James 1:27

Vision

The vision of Great Commission Missions is to provide a safe environment where the children get a nourishing meal, receive Biblical teaching, interact with, and encourage each other through singing, playing and Christian fellowship. Our desire is to see the children become responsible Christian adults and active members of their communities who will continue providing encouragement and support to the orphans and specifically designated children of their local communities and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our long range vision is for the local villagers to assist the feeding center workers to grow crops in our own garden to ensure that enough food is produced each and every year. This will enable that the village orphans have plenty to eat. When good crops are produced they will not only have enough to eat but excess to sell.

Goals

Our goal for every child that comes through our program is to not have to worry where the next meal will come from in order that they may concentrate more on school and children's activities and provide them with a much better future. Also to teach them responsibility by having them learn how to provide for themselves by helping with tasks around the center and the gardens.
